In the mid-11th century jewelry made by twining two or more thick silver filaments became popular throughout the Baltic region. Numerous pieces of jewelry – rings, bracelets and necklaces – made in this fashion have been found in treasure troves in different parts of Finland. This necklace was part of the Kalevala jewelry range from the early 1980s to the 2000s. Length appr. 47 cm.
