The brooch with two horse heads and six tinkling charms was modelled after an Eastern Finnish bronze pendant dating from the late Iron Age. Tinkling charms were believed to ward off evil spirits and thoughts. The Two-headed Horse was part of the Kalevala jewelry range from the 1950s till the early 2000s. Width 29 mm.
