Peace in the world begins in people's hearts. In 1972, the SALT negotiations (Strategic Arms Limitation Talks) were organized in Helsinki. The spouses of the heads of state who participated in the negotiations visited our factory in Helsinki's Pitäjänmäki to learn about the production of our jewelry. As a souvenir of their visit, they received a heart-themed piece of jewelry designed by the artist Germund Paaer in the 1940s. The name of the jewelry was "Asumaniemi Moor's Plikkuut-time buckle from Kihniö" (a catchy and easy-to-remember name, isn't it?), but since that delegation's visit, the jewelry has been known as the SALT heart.
