The elaborately patterned silver ball of the necklace is from the iconic Haliko coil, which was modeled after a massive necklace made of decorative silver beads. The necklace was part of an early medieval silver treasure, which was found in Joensuu, Halikon, in 1887 during the spring plowing, hidden in the bosom of the earth.
